The Election 黑社會
Price: $12

The movie began as the two-year term expired, all of the elders from Wo Shing society were in the process of electing a new chairman, with some last-minute "campaigning" from both Lok (Simon Yam) and Big D (Leung) a few days prior to the election. After bitter arguments from supporters of both candidates in the likes of Uncle Cocky (played by veteran TV actor Tam Ping Man) and Uncle Monk, Lok was elected as the new chairman. However, Big D was dismayed by the result, proceeded to kidnap two elders and punished them for their votes, thus prompting Whistle to ask his lieutenant, Four-Eye to hide the dragon head baton, which is a symbol of power for the leader.

Election (Chinese title: 黑社會 – literally "Black Society", a common Cantonese reference to the society of triads) is a 2005 film directed by Johnnie To with a large ensemble cast. Simon Yam and Tony Leung Ka-Fai play two gang leaders engaged in a power struggle to become the new leader of the Hong Kong Triad society.

The movie is notable in being nominated for 14 Golden Horse Awards in Hong Kong cinema. The film was named best film of 2005 in the Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards, with To also clinching best director honours for the movie.

Infernal Affairs is about a cop named Yan (Tony Leung) who goes deep undercover into the Triad, and Triad member Ming (Andy Lau), who infiltrates the police department. Each mole was planted by the rival organization to gain an advantage in intelligence over the other side. The more the moles become involved in their undercover lives, the more issues they have to cope with.

Yan and Ming converse at a hi-fi store where Yan works without knowing who each other is. A deal between Sam (Eric Tsang) and a Thai cocaine dealer is interrupted by Superintendent Wong (Anthony Wong) and his team due to Yan's tip-off using Morse Code. Ming alerted Sam of the bust with enough time for Sam to order his minions to dispose of the cocaine so the police would not have any real evidence on their hands. Now Wong and Sam realize that they each have moles within their respective organizations, putting them in a race against time to root out the other mole.

Infernal Affairs initially received much publicity because of its star-studded cast of Tony Leung, Andy Lau, Anthony Wong, Eric Tsang, Kelly Chen and Sammi Cheng; original plot of undercover agents from both sides, and compact and swift storytelling style, which later rose to critical acclaim.
