ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling) has been the target of many who find the sport of pro wrestling repulsive and violent since it is the most graphic and extreme of all the pro wrestling leagues. Barely Legal was the first pay-per-view event held by Extreme Championship Wrestling. It took place on April 13, 1997 from the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
